- When visiting the Memorial, keep in mind that a €3 per person donation will be required. This donation is for the Memorial and its maintenance and will be collected by the guide before entering the camp. (Please have exact change ready.)

Vyerna i sachsenhausen griper tag mer än alla hus på rad i Auschwitz som får mig att alldeles för stark associera med området jag växte upp..känns som att se Vivallas oranga rektanglar och grönområde. sachsenhausens grå damm och grus och grå byggnader och grå murar gör det så obehagligt på något vis . Kylan tomheten och känslan av litenhet kryper närmre. Så ett stort pluss att dom håller efter växter från att tränga sig upp där. Det gör känslan mer kargad. Fri entre. Gott om saker att se. Finns guid. Bra parkering, fräscha toaletter m.m. (( Mycket bättre än Auschwitz som ska förbokas i så lång tid innan))+7Posted on Google

This is a fun little day tour away from Berlin, and we started at 10 am and got back around 4 pm. Fairly quick paced. A lot of walking, but mostly flat. The tour started at a youth hostel that has a wc in the basement. Patrick helped us purchase ABC tickets for our journey. Pottlsdam was absolutely lovely. The gardens and homes were stunning. It was so nice to be on a tour and not have to figure out where to go. Patrick had interesting commentary along the way. We saw the outside of structures and walked through the gardens. We did not enter the buildings. We had a break in the middle when we could eat lunch and shop. After the break we walked to the Sanssouci Palace and enjoyed the views, grounds and Patrick's commentary. We then had a choice to stay in Pottsdam or return via train to Berlin. We left Pottsdam around 4. If it hadn't been so hot, many of us may have stayed longer. Pottsdam is a lovely town with interesting places to eat and shop.
